A native of Tokyo, Japan, now based in Northwest Portland, Oregon, Midori Karasawa brings a unique blend of modern aesthetics and Japan’s extraordinary cultural sensibilities into her design. As a Japanese designer, clean lines, simplicity, and sophistication are in her DNA, and these design principles are reflected in her projects. You’ll find elements of Japandi, Mid-Century Modern, and Minimalist Luxury in every project she touches.

Midori’s extensive travels in Latin America and time spent living in Europe and the United States exposed her to different expressions of arts, and it imbues her artistic vision with a global flair. Between her “less is more” interior design approach and cosmopolitan upbringing, clients will appreciate her unique and approach that contrasts minimalism with pop sensibilities.
